New classes at Burns start this Sunday at 9:30 – you don’t want to miss them!

Seasoning Your Words
Ladies Auditorium Class
Peggy Donegan, Leslie Hiatt, and Sandy Petty
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (Proverbs 18:21)
Using Nancy Eichman’s book, the ladies will study how Christians use their words. The class will discuss both the positives and the negatives. Words of criticism, gossip, deception, and judgment can bring nearly unlimited harm, but words of life–affirmations, encouragement, praise, and gratitude–are nearly unlimited in their potential to help. This class will help us use our words more intentionally in the service of others.

Men at Work
Men’s Downstairs Class
The Elders (and Special Guests)
“The saying is trustworthy: if anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.” (1 Timothy 3:1)
This quarter’s men’s class will be led primarily by our elders. The class will be theological in helping us understand how God intends men to lead and love their families and their church. The class will be practical in helping train all of us for more and better service in the church at Burns. If you want to better understand how you fit in to your role, this class is for you.
These classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 during the months of April, May, and June 2019. Classes for kids of all ages are available during this time.
