We believe that there is nothing better that a church can do but focus on Jesus.
From Thanksgiving until Christmas we spent four Sundays focused exclusively on Jesus.
Rather than a traditional Christmas-time sermon, we spent each week focusing on a different part of his life: his birth, his ministry, his death, and his resurrection. Each week we had extended scripture readings from a harmony of the gospels that helped us focus on the story of how he lived and what he did. During the week in which we focused on his death, we mixed the scriptures with a medley of our best hymns about that sacrificial death.
