We’re excited to host our third annual Spiritual Growth Workshop this Easter Weekend.

Jesus Wept - Postcard - FinalJesus Wept - Postcard - back

The theme this year is Jesus Wept (John 11:35). You might know it as the Bible’s easiest memory verse, but it is much deeper than that. It tells us that we have a savior who understands sorrow, sadness, and pain.

Grief doesn’t have to be a never-ending cycle of despair. There is hope. So this weekend, with the help of Mike Baker.

Mike currently serves as the involvement minister at the Crieve Hall congregation in Nashville. He has preached for several congregations in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas. He has been certified to teach grief recovery courses, and is currently teaching “Complete My Grief” in small groups.

He’ll discuss several different areas of grief:

  • Thinking like a Christian about grief – what that means and doesn’t mean
  • Grief Myths. Things you’ve grown up thinking (and not even realizing) that make it harder to grieve
  • What Not to Say: Killer Cliches to avoid when you’re helping a friend.

This is going to be a great weekend, so make plans to be here. The schedules is as follows:

Friday, March 29th:

  • 6pm: Dinner in the Fellowship Hall
  • 7pm: Session One

Saturday, March 30th:

  • 7pm: Session Two

We’ll have our normal Sunday services on Easter Sunday. I hope you’ll plan to join us.
