Our Leaders

We believe that Christ is the head of the church–and we want to do absolutely nothing to take away from that! We will be led by him, and we will follow him as best as we can, and we invite you to join us on our journey.

We believe that scripture teaches the church should be organized with elders (shepherds, pastors, or overseers) who direct the flock and look after the spiritual well-being of the church. Scripture details some very specific qualifications for these leaders. Churches are also to have deacons (servants) who oversee services (or ministries) of the local church.

As of this writing, the congregation at Burns is without elders. We are working on growing back to a point in which we can appoint willing and qualified men to this position. We continue to have deacons, as seems to be the case in Acts 6 and Titus 1. You can get to know these men better at the following links.
